Program Coordinator
Kate is a Gunditjmara person with ties to Katomeri, Greece, currently living, working, and loving in Narrm on Wurundjeri Country. She holds a deep passion for learning and listening, encoding a strong relational praxis into both her personal and professional life.
Through her literary work, Kate transforms lived experiences into reflective pieces that explore themes of love, grief, pain, and yearning, both of and from people and place. Her work has appeared in Rabbit Poetry Journal (2017), with further contributions featured in the Medical Journal of Australia (2020) and Youth Journal (2023).
Kate is committed to working alongside and amplifying the voices of young, marginalised peoples, especially those with intersectional identities such as young queer mob. Her ultimate goal is to work with First Nations communities and engage in restorative storytelling practices through authorship.
